Linda Pritchett for City Council District 7

 My name is Linda Pritchett, I am a first generation Cuban American, and the niece of the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz. I raised my sons Dakota and Logan in Riverdale, Georgia, who are high school graduates that attended Love T. Nolan Elementary School, Ronald E. McNair Middle School, and Hapeville Charter High School.  

I began my career in the Life Insurance business as a Life Insurance Agent and successfully became the owner of my own agency. Years later, I became an entrepreneur and opened up a retail store named Dakota Logan, selling Urban Wear to NFL players like Super Bowl Champ, Ray Lewis, Hall of Fame Recipient Edgerrin James, amongst many. In the last 18 years, I’ve worked in the legal field as a Certified Paralegal, specializing in Personal Injury, Criminal and Civil Law, and Workers’ Compensation. Legislative Specialist for the City of South Fulton.

Over the last 10 years, I’ve become involved in the political arena. In 2017, I was honored to become a recipient of President Barack Obama's Lifetime Achievement Award for Service.  I’ve had  the privilege of serving as Treasurer for State Senator Donzella James, Legislative Aide to State Representative Sandra Scott, Constituent Services Liaison to  State Representative Ronnie Mabra, and working as a Legislative Specialist for the City of South Fulton.  I have also served as a State Committee Member in the Democratic Party of Georgia, Chair of the Fulton County Democrats Platform Committee, Chair of the City of South Fulton Renaming Committee, and Chair of the Community Clean Up Committee for the Old National Area Residents United, and Vice President of the Stoneridge Subdivision HOA Board.
 

Leadership and servanthood are very important to me, and have led me to become active in my community. In an attempt to address social / political issues, I’ve organized numerous town hall meetings, frequently attend community meetings, speak up relevant issues we face, and publish the Community Newsletter which provides people with important local and legislative updates, in an effort to increase civic engagement and awareness.
